Morrem os escritores João Ubaldo Ribeiro e Rubem Alves
Depois de João Ubaldo Ribeiro, literatura brasileira perde Rubem AlvesNo dia 18 de julho, sexta-feira, faleceu João Ubaldo Ribeiro. Importante escritor brasileiro, era ocupante da Cadeira nº 34 da Academia Brasileira de Letras.
Autor de romances como Sargento Getúlio, O Sorriso do Lagarto e A Casa dos Budas Ditosos, teve obras adaptavas para o cinema e para a TV e também trabalhou como jornalista, roteirista e professor. Em 2008, recebeu o Prêmio Camões, maior premiação para autores de língua portuguesa.
No dia seguinte, 19, faleceu o também escritor Rubem Alves, autor de livros e artigos abordando temas religiosos, educacionais e existenciais, além de uma série de livros infantis.
Com uma mensagem direta, o autor explorava a essência do homem e a alma do ser.
